for shops, practices and restaurants
Your Sonos is your PA system now.
The speakers for the music are already there. Quak lets them make the announcements too: closing time in every branch, the next patient to room two, a gong when the lunch special is ready.
No new hardware, no installer. The music gets quieter for the announcement and plays on afterwards.

a day in the store
The announcements you make anyway.
- Every day, 19:45scheduled
“We're closing in 15 minutes. Thanks for shopping with us!”
Set it once for all branches. It plays at the right time in every store, in the voice and language you choose.
- Saturday rushone tap
“Checkout three is open.”
One tap on the phone at the counter, and the whole store hears it. No walking, no shouting across the aisles.
- Monday, 9:00clip
“Good morning, we're open. This week: 20% on all garden tools.”
Record your own clip or type the offer. Change it on Monday, it plays all week.
- In the practicetext
“Mrs. Becker, please come to room two.”
The waiting room hears it, the treatment rooms don't. You pick which speakers play what.
- Friday, 22:45scheduled
“Last orders in 15 minutes. The kitchen closes at eleven.”
For the dining room and the terrace, not the kitchen. The same for the happy hour, the lunch special or the pick-up counter.
- At the countertrigger URL
“🔔 Someone's waiting at the counter.”
A button at the front desk of the laundry, the tailor's or the bike shop, and the back room hears it, over the sewing machine. A trigger URL plays one fixed announcement, anything that can open a web address can press it.
- Freezertemperature sensor
“Freezer two is at minus eight. Please check the door.”
A temperature sensor in the freezer or the cold room, and the shop floor hears it before the ice cream melts. Also good for the wine fridge and the server cupboard.
- Back doordoorbell
“Delivery at the back door.”
The bell at the back rings while you're in the storeroom or with a customer. Every speaker says it, nobody waits outside.

Questions you might have
Do I need new speakers?
No, Quak uses the Sonos speakers you have. Most models can play announcements; after connecting you see which ones.
Does the music stop?
It gets quieter while the announcement plays and comes back afterwards. Nobody has to press play again.
Can my staff announce without my login?
Yes. Invite them with their own email, they log in with a link, no password to share.
What does one announcement cost?
One announcement to every speaker in a store costs the same as to one. Sounds and your own clips cost the least. What costs what
Names or numbers in the waiting room?
Both work. Many practices call a number or just the first name, so the waiting room hears no more than it needs to. Texts and audio are kept 24 hours at most.
