for kids and families
Roooar! Dinner's ready.
The kids talk into the tablet, the living room hears a robot. They press a button, the whole house hears their own jingle. And you get the dinner bell, “teeth brushing!” and “lights out in five” on every speaker.
Simple enough for the kids, and the evening quiet hours count for their buttons too.

a day with the kids
The fun stuff, and the bits that help.
- School days, 7:00scheduled
“Good morning, kids! Time to get up and get ready for school.”
Every school day at seven, in the kids' rooms only. Holidays and weekends stay quiet, nobody has to play the alarm clock.
- School days, 7:15scheduled
“Last call! Shoes on, bags packed, or you'll be late.”
A second announcement a quarter of an hour later, on every speaker in the house. Firmer this time, in a voice of their choice, or with a monster effect if that's what gets them moving.
- Afternoontalk + effect
“This is the monster from the kids' room. I want … cookies!”
A walkie-talkie through the house: the kids hold the button on the tablet and talk, the living room hears it as a robot, a monster or with a helium voice. Probably the most fun of all.
- Wheneversounds + clips
“🥁 Ba-dum-tss!”
Over 250 sounds and their own recordings, one tap and it plays on the Sonos. The apps are simple enough for kids. Feeling handy? With the API your own sound board takes a few lines.
- Quiz nightbuttons
“🔔 Ding! Mia was first.”
Every player gets a Flic button with a sound of their own as a buzzer. Flic calls Quak itself, no IFTTT needed. The button decides who was first, not the sound, so the second it takes doesn't matter.
- 19:30button + clip
“Teeth brushing time! Lights out in five minutes.”
Family rituals at the press of a button: the dinner bell, “teeth brushing!”, “lights out in five”. Recorded once as a clip, or in a voice the kids picked.
- Birthdaytext + sound
“Your next clue is hidden where the cold things live.”
A treasure hunt where the clues come from the speakers, a fanfare when the cake comes in.

Questions you might have
Can the kids change my settings?
Not with a key that only plays. Their tablet or sound board can play on the speakers, settings, keys and Sonos stay with you.
What about bedtime?
Your quiet hours count for everyone: from the time you set nothing plays, the kids' buttons and their tablet included. It's skipped and costs nothing.
How fast is a button?
About a second until it plays. Fine for a buzzer or the dinner bell, too slow to play music on, so it's no instrument.
Which buttons work?
Anything that can send a web request, like Flic, or a button in your smart home. Apps & Integrations
And the birthday party itself?
Shout-outs from the stadium, a bell for the games and the countdown to the cake: that's on its own page. Quak for parties
